EPC+M+O Turnkey Solution Creates High-efficiency Tanzania 1200t/d Gold Processing Plant

The gold mining industry has always put forward high requirements for ore adaptability, recovery efficiency and project construction capability. The 1200 tons per day gold mineral processing plant constructed in Tanzania is a typical representative EPC+M+O project delivered by Xinhai Mining, which perfectly solves the processing difficulty of mixed sulfide and oxide gold ore and realizes stable and high gold leaching efficiency. This project fully demonstrates Xinhai’s comprehensive strength covering process design, equipment matching, site construction and overall project operation management.

The raw ore properties lay the foundation for the whole processing design. The ore mined from this mining area contains two different gold-bearing components, sulfide ore and oxide ore. The gold grade of sulfide ore reaches 10.7g/t, while the oxide ore gold grade is 2.4g/t. After detailed ore detection and component analysis, technicians confirmed that gold is the only valuable recoverable element in the ore, and no other associated minerals can be recycled. Different physical and chemical characteristics of sulfide and oxide ore bring great challenges to conventional separation technology. In order to maximize the utilization rate of mineral resources and avoid ore waste, Xinhai technical team abandoned single processing technology and finally determined to apply mature all-slime cyanidation gold extraction process after repeated demonstration and test verification.
In actual production operation, this targeted process design obtains outstanding production indicators. The leaching rate of sulfide ore reaches 93.75%, and the leaching rate of oxide ore also stably hits 91.58%. Such excellent recovery data not only meets the client’s expected production benefit standard, but also far exceeds the average processing level of local gold mines, bringing considerable and stable economic returns for mining investment.
To support the stable operation of high-efficiency leaching process, Xinhai formulated a complete and scientific set of processing technical solutions. The whole production line is divided into four core working links, and each stage is closely connected and coordinated with each other. The first stage is crushing operation, adopting one open-circuit crushing technology. Raw gold ore with large particle size is crushed into uniform fine particles through graded crushing, creating basic particle condition for subsequent grinding and leaching work.
The second stage is grinding and classification, equipped with one closed-circuit grinding matched with cyclone classification process. Closed-circuit grinding can effectively control the grinding fineness of ore slurry, prevent excessive grinding or insufficient grinding, and cyclone classification accurately screens qualified fine ore particles, unqualified coarse materials will be returned to the grinding equipment for reprocessing. Standardized ore slurry quality provides powerful guarantee for efficient gold leaching reaction.
The third core link is separation extraction, taking all-slime cyanidation process as the core separation technology. After full leaching reaction, gold elements are fully separated from ore. The generated gold-bearing carbon is transported to desorption electrolysis system for deep gold extraction. After electrolysis separation, concentrated gold slime is obtained, and finished gold products can be made through follow-up smelting work.
The last link is tailings harmless disposal. All waste materials generated after gold extraction will be sent to thickening and dewatering equipment for treatment. After reducing water content and solid-liquid separation, tailings are stacked in designated area in compliance with environmental protection norms, realizing standardized disposal of production waste and reducing the impact on surrounding ecological environment.
A successful mining project cannot be separated from rigorous pre-construction planning and reliable on-site construction guarantee. Before the official start of construction, Xinhai carried out all-round detailed planning covering project management system, construction technical standard, material resource supply and multi-party coordination work. Perfect advance planning effectively avoids blind construction and random adjustment in later period, and locks the overall progress and quality direction of the project.
During the on-site construction period, the remote geographical location of Tanzania brings many practical difficulties. The construction team timely took effective countermeasures aiming at the common problems such as insufficient supply of building materials, mechanical equipment, construction tools and professional technical personnel. Through rational scheduling of human resources and flexible deployment of materials and equipment, the construction progress was steadily promoted without delay.

Thin steel equipment is easy to deform under external force during hoisting and long-distance transportation. Constructors adopted stable hoisting methods and shockproof transportation measures to greatly reduce equipment deformation risk, effectively protect the integrity and use performance of all equipment, and finally complete the whole plant construction with high quality.
