The development of chlorination roasting technology mainly focuses on three aspects: improvement of chlorinating agents, optimization of equipment structure and improvement of process safety. In terms of chlorinating agents, traditional solid chlorinating agents (such as NaCl, CaCl2) and gaseous chlorinating agents (such as Cl2, HCl) have their own limitations: solid chlorinating agents have low reaction efficiency, while gaseous chlorinating agents have high toxicity and corrosion. At present, researchers are developing new composite chlorinating agents, which can improve reaction efficiency while reducing toxicity and corrosion.


In terms of equipment structure, since there is no unified standard equipment for chlorination roasting at present, most equipment is self-designed, which leads to problems such as inconsistent product quality and low equipment stability. Therefore, the development of standardized, automated chlorination roasting equipment has become the key direction of technological improvement. By optimizing the structure of the reactor, improving the uniformity of temperature and chlorine distribution, the purification effect and production efficiency can be improved.
In terms of process safety, due to the high toxicity and corrosion of chlorine, ensuring the tightness of the equipment and the safety of the operation process is crucial. At present, enterprises have adopted a series of safety protection measures, such as installing gas leakage detection devices, setting up emergency treatment systems, and strengthening the training of operators, to reduce safety risks.
